1st Time Investing Questions.?

This is my first time investing and my first post on InvFAQ.com.

For the first time I am not quite living "paycheck to paycheck" and want to formulate some first step investing decisions. I do not want to invest anymore later $100 a month. Yes I know this isn't much but I need to start somewhere. Of course I obligation something low risk but have other had a stock itch. I know the risk within stocks but I do not mind playing around with a short time extra money to cure that itch. Where is a good starting point?

Also, what are some pious sites that will not charge too much for a newbie?

Thank you for the assistance!

Personally, I believe DRIP Plans are fantastic investment vehicles for beginners.

They are seldom recommended by brokers due to the low rate of commissions received. However, these
reinvestment plans can be immensely powerful long-term investments. Studies have shown that DRIP's are one of
the best strategies on Wall Street.

They are inexpensive and smooth to start. New investors to the stock market should manifestly consider a DRIP Plan.

Companies like Toyota, Royal Canadian Bank, Sony, Bank of America, General Electric and several other Blue Chip
Stocks can be purchased through your DRIP Plan, with as little as 1 share contained by most cases.

These long-term plans are great for beginners as well as veterans. Check them out.

Suze Orman gives the best financial suggestion I've ever heard. Go to her website and see what she have to say. I kinda hold a feeling I know what she might influence. Put half into a regular hoard account until you accomplish 3 months of your regular expenses for emergencies and the partner into an IRA. There are quite a few bank offering 3.5-4% interst on regular savings accounts right immediately so check that out. Depending on how old you are, what your goal are, and what kind of risk you are feeling like to take beside your money there's mutual funds.
