CD Question?

My fiance is in the Marine Corps. He have a CD at his bank that he have had for 2 years. Last year he go to bootcamp and was not here at the time that the 1 year cd be up. They bank automatically rolled it over into another 1 year CD. The problem is he wont be here again this april when this CD is up. He requirements to take the money out when he is home contained by June. By that time the CD will again have be rolled over. My question is, what penalty will he face contained by June? Is there any mode that we can avoid having the CD rolled over contained by April and just put into a money? Thanks so Much

Your other question indicates that you own power of attorney while your husband is away. That should allow you to act within his behalf when the CD matures within April and put it in a hoard account.

If you don't give somebody a lift care of this when the CD mature, you will have to money a penalty contained by June. My bank charges a cost of six months interest for early withdrawal.

I would suggest he check the terms of the CD for penalty. Also, a written letter to the edge requesting that the CD be moved to a savings article after the one-year is up is another alternative.
