So i recently started investing surrounded by the stock market. i am going through sharebuilder.com, and be wondering how accurate are the stock ratings that are given? there be a couple of good stocks that i looked-for to invest in, but the ratings be low, and some that i didnt think be good, and they read out to buy.

What is your experience with them?

The stock ratings that they present are straight from TheStreet.com. Never base your investment decree on one rating. I find them to be pretty accurate for PAST experience. The site is half owned by Jim Cramer and numerous times on his TV show he blesses a stock, but the website hate it.

Answers:    I agree near Ryan - you never want to base your investing decision on a single source. With that being said, the with the sole purpose tip I can give is, "don't bring tips"

Learn the various resources on the net where you can step to do your own homework.

Google Finance is great.
Investopedia.com is also fantastic.
